I want us to both arrive at a happy end point together, fully satisfied with the work completed.
Good communication drives this process, which is ‘designed in’ to the process here at WhatStudio.
If you recorded with WhatStudio you will have already received the TIMELINE audio which is a reference of the RECORDING stage.
In the mixing process, music will be delivered in two stages, LISTENER then MIX.
LISTENER is when we establish priorities for the mix, addressing balance and arrangement concerns, with the expectation that adjustments will be needed. There may be one or two LISTENER files delivered until this is correct.
Stage 2, MIX, gets into fine detail… MIX files are the ones you are encouraged to ‘sit with’ and try on all your different speakers etc. You can then feed back and we can make final revisions if needed.
Each file is sent to you labelled with its Name, Stage, Date and Version Number. This means you know what to expect, as the mixing process moves towards the ‘MIX’ you agree on, at which point your music ready for mastering.
Mix feedback sessions can be in person at WhatStudio, live on Zoom a with real-time audio and visual of my timeline, or simply take place by email, and all worked to suit your schedule.
